I have been where you are right now. I got the hypnosis fever when I was seven. I started looking over forty years ago on how to learn hypnosis. Folks you got it easy, there was no internet back in those days, you just click a button, and here you are.
You know those diplomas they give after completion of the hypnosis course; well I have a couple dozen of them dating back as far as 1979. I will bring them to the seminar so you can see them all. When you add up the price of the course, airfare, hotel, food, ground transportation, and all the BS products they sell you from the “Back of the Room,” over the years I easily spent over $75K. Let’s not even talk about the money I spent on the yearly “Hypnosis Conventions.” At this time I am not a member of any “Hypnosis Organization” where there are dues collected, and haven’t been in over 20 years….why?
The point I am trying to make is I spent a lot of money on self-proclaimed professionals that stole my money. I got a lot of worthless scripts to read, and endless stories on what they “said they did.” These people simply make their money teaching hypnosis you think they know, but don’t know.
Over the last 30 years not a lot has changed in the “Hypnosis Information Business.” Good people want to learn hypnosis, and get taken by self-proclaimed experts in the field. The internet has only made it a click away from them to get your money! When you see someone selling hypnosis check their credentials, experience, and where did they get their training (Who Taught Them)? How many shows have they done? How many shows do they average a year? When was their first show? How much money do they make a year doing stage hypnosis shows (I will show you my tax returns, I bet they wont).
If I wanted to learn how to play golf, I would model myself after…..…..hmmmm? Again success leaves clues……..Yes the eight hundred pound gorilla has just entered the room.
